The successful candidate will have an established history of proven designs regarding integrated microwave assemblies from 20 MHz to 20 GHz. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the design development from customer interface, product design, project management, and production support.

Spectrum Microwave is seeking an experienced engineering assembler in the Palm Bay, FL facility. The individual filling this role will fabricate, test, analyze and repair new designs, first production runs and other special RF engineering designs.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • Ability to work with engineering to develop new designs
  • Ability to work in a New Product Introduction Team (MPIT) environment to transfer new designs to production
  • Certified or capability of being certified to IPC solder standards (IPC-A-610)
  • Order, organize and maintain engineering materials in Engineering Laboratory
  • Expeditiously build surface mount boards using engineering documentation
  • Maintain records of engineering prototype rework and work with design/drafting to finalize documentation

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing double and triple balanced mixers up to 30 GHz using lumped element and micro strip technologies.  Mixer types being Image Reject, IQ Modulators, Frequency Doublers, and Broadband style Mixers.  In addition, the candidate should have experience and capability to simulate mixer designs utilizing engineering software.  Willingness to travel to visit with customers or support various Spectrum Microwave operations (travel time would typically be less than 10% of time).  Candidate should also have experience supporting a manufacturing operation.
