Spectrum Microwave, Philadelphia Operations, has an opening for an experienced Program Manager.

The program manager will direct key production programs following their release from engineering.

Responsibilities will include:
- Monitor costs & participate in the cost reduction process.
- Interface with Engineering when technical issues arise.
- Participate in the negotiation of contract awards and modifications.
- Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions and periodic status reviews with the customer.
- Working with Operations, establish milestones; manage timelines including tracking through each manufacturing process, making all parties aware of potential issues in time to correct problems with minimum cost or schedule impact.

The successful candidate will become a major asset in the generation of follow-on business from engaged customers. The candidate will require excellent organizational skills, communications skills and posses the ability to multitask. Knowledge of microwave/electronic hardware and prime defense customer business methodologies is desired.

The individual filling this role will be responsible to coordinate and track the progress of manufacturing orders and for maintaining accurate records of production using a computer database system.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Compiling and recording production data from multiple sources
  • Recording information for completed and in-progress production
  • Documentation review
  • Compile material inventory records and as needed prepare requisitions for materials/supplies
  • Daily recording of production information and verification that the schedule is being met
  • Coordinate return order paperwork

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing double and triple balanced mixers up to 30 GHz using lumped element and micro strip technologies.  Mixer types being Image Reject, IQ Modulators, Frequency Doublers, and Broadband style Mixers.  In addition, the candidate should have experience and capability to simulate mixer designs utilizing engineering software.  Willingness to travel to visit with customers or support various Spectrum Microwave operations (travel time would typically be less than 10% of time).  Candidate should also have experience supporting a manufacturing operation.
