Hybrid Process Our hybrid manufacturing process is a chip and wire method that ensures high reliability and long life.
Quality Control Pre-Seal Electical Tests An electrical test is performed to assure all units meet every Performance Specification.
Visual Inspection Visual Inspection on all units.
Pre-Seal Vacuum Baked 100% of our standard units undergo a minimum 2 hour Pre-Seal vacuum bake at 150°C.
  Hermetically Sealed All units are hermetically sealed.
Temperature Cycling for Standard Parts Temperature Cycling 10 Cycles for all Standard Parts
100% Functional Electrical Tests Hermetic Seal Test All parts must pass a Fine and Gross leak before moving on.
Electrical Testing 100% Functional Testing of all parts
Branded and Date Coded Part Numbers All standard units are branded with a Spectrum Microwave part number and Date Coded.
  Final External Inspection A 100% final External Inspection is conducted
on Every Unit before shipping.

Advanced Design Technology The experienced microwave engineering teams at Spectrum Microwave understand how everything comes together within a system and where integration challenges exist. We design our product for specific MIL applications and will work with your engineers to find the best method to address a wide range of microwave bandpass and frequency control requirements.
Advanced Design Technology Our engineers prefer to design using proven circuits and approaches, but they also explore the use of more exotic methods. Spectrum Microwave conducts internal research and development programs that attempt to exploit new technologies. Some examples include:

  • High Speed Schottky Level Limiting
  • Silicon PIN Level Limiting
  • GaAs PIN Diode Switching
  • High-Speed Direct Frequency Synthesizers
We also have demonstrated stopband performance to 40 GHz and ripple reduction in Switched Filter Banks through control of impedance transitions between switches and filters.
